Japanese touring skis : Whitedot

Japanese touring ski manufacturer WHITEDOT has a wholesale dealer in London’s Fulham Road. The skis retail normally for Â¥80,000-, or mid to high £00s  – = £700/800 a pair.

The dealer will however make a good reduction ( > 50% ) for individuals if a wholesale buyer hasn’t snapped them up in the interim.

Whitedot is a highly thought-of brand in Japan, a Salomon or K2 of the backcountry, little known in this hemisphere, but specifically tailored for touring. With permanent hooks for skins on the tails. They come in all sizes from Carving to Fatboy.

If you’re in the market for some new blades….these would make an investment you will not replace year on year.

The shop is called RAIJIN and usually has a Closed sign, but ignore it and knock on the door and you’ll find a charming lady in charge.

Best kept secret ski store in town, as open to deals because not depending on consumers. The store is just an export post for the brand.

Though, aside from Whitedot, I made another great discovery. A cool cool brand of ski, beautifully designed… Coming soon in another post.

601, Fulham Rd., just past Fulham Broadway, SW6. Get down there to avoid that inevitable three-hour morning in the ski rental joint. They can arrange the bindings etc at a good rate too….if you want.
